True to the credit union’s People Helping People philosophy and our mission, Empowering Credit Unions to Impact Their Communities, the Cornerstone Credit Union Foundation is dedicated to being a force for good through its three main initiatives: Credit Union Development, Financial Wellness, and Disaster Relief.

We diligently serve credit unions, communities, and members where they are. Additionally, we seek to preserve and strengthen the CU system that past generations have built to ensure the security of tomorrow’s credit union movement.

Southern Gas FCU will pay your first year's membership fee of $15 . Member benefits include:

  • Champion the credit union people helping people philosophy through monetary and system support.
  • Receive a quarterly electronic newsletter from the Cornerstone Foundation on financial wellness sources and programs, upcoming events, and volunteer opportunities.
  • Become eligible for membership with Southern Gas Federal Credit Union to access financial products and services.
  • Through the Foundation’s partnership with BALANCE, a leading national nonprofit organization, you can access free, one-on-one financial counseling, debt management services, and financial education resources. BALANCE also offers free monthly webinars and workshops.
  • Opportunity to elect two Advisory Trustees to represent the interest of the membership on the Cornerstone Foundation’s Board of Trustees.

Memberships are renewed annually. Even if you do not renew your membership with FOF, you still retain your membership with Southern Gas FCU.
